Otto Ritschl Prize


The Otto Ritschl Prize honours a life’s work in colour painting. In connection with the prize, there is an extensive exhibition at the Museum of Wiesbaden including a catalogue and prize money.

The goal of the prize is to remember the painter Otto Ritschl and to show innovation in colour painting. Colour as a spatial, meditative element of visual art and as a synthesis of material and non material phenomena.
